GOD continues to ADD to HIS CHURCH…

We THANK THE LORD for His blessings and the increase He gave again this Sunday.  Two precious souls united with Aurora.  Carly Robbins was saved last semester in our Embrace Grace class that meets on Monday evening and on January 11^th, she made her public profession of faith and was baptized.  Her family was there to see her and rejoice with her.  Carly is a friend who was introduced to our Church by Amanda Delka…way to go girl!  Also, Morgan Allen came forward for assurance of her salvation and to unite with our Church.  We thank God for the increase.  Sunday
morning the building was packed again.  We would ask that our members be aware of the seating difficulties and move to the middle to make room for guests.  John used to call this situation S.O.S. (SLIDE OVER SOME).  Thanks for being considerate of others and helping with this situation.  We encourage you to join us this Lord’s Day.

CROWDING ISSUES in our CHILDREN’S CHURCH…

This past Sunday, our Children’s Church was packed to the max.  42 kids and adults were crammed into the Assembly Room downstairs.  25 is a full house…42 is packed to the max.  ABC is in the process of moving the Sunday morning Children’s Church upstairs to the Fellowship Hall.  Look for a few transformations to take place in the next couple weeks…when it is ready, we will announce the start date for the new location.  PRAISE THE LORD for the GROWING PAINS…we love having to address issues of over-crowding! 

PAIRS and SPARES meet THURSDAY at 10:30 AM…

The Pairs and Spares (Senior Group…ages 55 & up) will meet at the

Church, Thursday from 10:30 AM to Noon for their monthly meeting.  We hope you can attend.  Bring a dish or a dessert.  We look forward to seeing you and spending time in fellowship.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST, SATURDAY at 8:30 AM…

Saturday morning, January 21^st, our men meet at the Church for their monthly MAN-TIME.  You are invited…the food is awesome, the fellowship is wonderful and the spiritual renewal is tremendous.  See you.

CHILDREN at ABC to begin HANDBELL CHOIR…

Sunday evening, February 5^th at 6 PM all children of Aurora Baptist

Church are invited to join the CHILDREN’S HANDBELL CHOIR…we might call this group JOYFUL NOISE.  Ages 4-12 are invited to participate, but we encourage and ask Parents of children 4 & 5 to attend class with your child for the first couple weeks to make sure they are able to pick it up.  We hope and pray the choir will be able to perform in our ‘Good Friday Easter Service’.  The bells and special music have been purchased, the leaders instructions and scores arrived this week.  What a glorious opportunity to teach our kids the importance of service to our wonderful Savior.  A special THANK YOU to the vision of our Children’s Director and the adult volunteers in making this happen.

A NEW SEMESTER at ABC…

Another semester of LABS, exciting Bible studies, AWANA’s, the Source, Grief Share, Marriage Enrichment, Beth Moore Bible Study of James for the Ladies on Tuesday and Beth Moore Bible Study of the Tabernacle for the Ladies on Wednesday, a verse by verse study of the Book of Genesis taught by our Pastor and Single Parenting instruction begins this week.  Check out the website for the times and places.  Each Monday evening, Embrace Grace meets at 7 PM and Divorce Care at 6 PM.

ABC CHURCH-WIDE BUSINESS MEETING…

Our Church-wide business meeting will be January 22^nd at 6 PM.  We have exciting information, financial and attendance reports to share with the Church along with the usual New Year business.  Please make sure you are present.

COUNTRY GOSPEL on the HILL...

Saturday evening, January 21^st, at 6 PM, on the campus of the Arlington Baptist College, you are invited to enjoy a Country Gospel Concert.  7-8 Gospel groups, including our own HIStory Quartet will be performing their best songs.  All proceeds will go to finance the Mission students of Arlington Baptist College and the Mission Trip they will be taking in March.  If you love Country Gospel music, if you want to help student missionaries get on the field, if you want to have a part in reaching people for Jesus…make sure you attend this awesome evening of praise.

All men and young men ages 12-102 are invited to attend IRON MEN 2012 The theme is JESUS TOUGH and the line up of speakers will bless you as never before.  Our FEATURED SPEAKERS are:

Dr. Herb Revis…a West Texas boy who God is using to Pastor one of the largest Churches in Florida.  Herb can be seen or heard on Radio or TV across the South and he can preach the house down.  Our men will love him.

Dr. Douglas Brown…is a black preacher who has built the Great Commission Baptist Church to over 3,000.  Dr. Brown can preach the paint off the walls!  I promise…you will be blessed as never before!

Break-Out Sessions…Dr. D. L. Moody, Dr. Ergun Caner, Clark Bosher, Rev. Mark Dallalio, Darren Dunn, Dr. Gary Coleman, Timmy, Todd and Rev. Charles Dunn will all speak during our Break Out sessions on the subject of JESUS TOUGH.  We need men who can and will be JESUS TOUGH!

Calling Levi...will bless our hearts with music.  This will be one of their last performances.  They start a CHURCH PLANT beginning February 12^th in Townsend, Delaware.  They started a Bible Study in their home 1 year ago and it has grown to just under 100…after much prayer they have decided to start Lifehouse Baptist Church.

Iron Men 2012 will be at a NEW LOCATION…the Riverbend Retreat Center in Glenrose, TX.  It is a beautiful camp that is large enough for us to be able to return to the 1 week format rather than splitting to 2 weeks.  The cost is the same and the dates are March 2-3.  SIGN UP SUNDAY!

NEW LABS SERIES begins FEBRUARY 5^th…

A new study called DEATH and RESURRECTION of the MESSIAH begins Sunday, February 5^th.  There will be a SPECIAL TEACHERS and WORKERS meeting this Sunday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.  Materials will be distributed and questions and answers about the new format will be discussed.  It is an awesome series, filmed on location in the Holy Land.  10 Bible Lessons will be taught from 10 places like the Sea of Galilee, the Wailing Wall, The Temple, Gethsemane, Golgatha and the Garden Tomb.
